The Traditional Martial Arts Society will offer an Aiki Jujutsu seminar Tuesday December 20, from 6:30pm-9:00pm, at its 5738 Baum Blvd. facilities. The last school activity of the 2011 year, this seminar will focus on self defense, sparring techniques and escapes from various body grabs. Beginners, as well as individuals of all levels and styles are welcome.
Aiki Jujutsu is a classical Japanese martial art focusing on using an attacker's energy to apply arm locks, throws, chokes, and strikes against the attacker.
Admission is $20 to participate, $5 to observe.
Age 16 and older only (Non-members under 18 must be accompanied with parent or guardian)
Participants should wear martial arts uniform or loose
fitting clothes. Sparring equipment may be worn as sparring is likely
to occur, although not necessary for full participation.
